“Time Flies Slower in the South”
I hadn’t realised that foreigners could get signed off for OpenAirplane – I understood is wasn’t an option when it launched. The checkout sounds very demanding, especially for IFR, so you did well. This makes the experience much more like hiring a rental car.
Nice trip write up – thanks for sharing
Thanks David.
I guess you refer to this write-up?
They never asked me for my citizenship (which is Belgian), so I guess that as a foreigner you can do OpenAirplane yes.
The only caveat might be that you need a renter’s insurance and for that you probably need an American address. i used teh one of my company :p.
You are right, last trip was like renting a car … in fact I didn’t show any paperwork at all :D
