40 hours 4000 miles

One can see a lot of the Caribbean – even in a little 180HP Piper.

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves: https://www.flickr.com/photos/shorrick/sets/72157631007512178/

Swimming pigs! Fantastic! I knew they could fly, but swim – that’s a whole different league

Cool trip – how long did it take you (in days, not hours)?

Three weeks grand total.

Gave me the opportunity to sample a few interesting airfields:

Staniel Cay:

Princess Juliana (flying over the famous “jetblast beach”):

St. Vincent & the Grenadines (one way uphill runway)

Wow. Great photos, and I am jealous as you are flying an aircraft that looks almost identical to mine, and I wish my aircraft was in that area. I could post some pictures of coastal trips around the UK, with Sountend pier, but its not going to compete ;-)

Well – I can only recommend that you do what I did, i.e. rent from Tampa and fly outwards. The people at the FBO there have been very supportive – no need for an IFR rating which most of the outfits require for Caribbean trips.
