A student pilot says "Hello EuroGA"

EDLP Paderborn/Lippstadt, just a stone’s throw away from Hannover, is also H24. It’s where I’m “based” (partially) and when returning from Sweden yesterday late evening, I was very happy that among other things like thunderstorms moving in, I had two airports at my disposal where I didn’t need to worry about opening hours. I’ll covers this in more detail in a write-up soon.

EDDV and get your night and instrument rating there

All things considered I also prefer EDDV as base. I can also train for an IR there, which would be great to make use of the airport’s H24 opening hours – fairly rare in Germany!

Learning to fly at EHAM Schiphol meant I was never worried about flying to bigger airfields. 24 hour access was worth the (then) slightly higher landing fees.
