New Pilatus jet - PC-24

A lot of things in marketing are about what one could potentially do with stuff.
The fact that almost nobody will / has a need to do is a different story.

Obviously it’s purely marketing video. Nobody will do this on regular basis and probably the majority of users will never do it.

Funny enough the engine arrangement of the SF50 might be highly suitable for gravel ops….

In the case of the Pilatus planes I would think there will be a high demand for this, particularly from outfits like the Australian flying doctors but also others, basically those who today look at the PC12. And with a bit of caution it won’t be a big deal either. I remember Braathens 737-200’s coming into ZRH and operating in and out of dirt strips in Scandinavia all the time. and I also remember pictures of Citation one’s doing that.

Well, there is a ton of this stuff on YT.

…and I’m worried about taking a Mooney to a grass strip :-0

Isn’t the 737 on a Canadian scheduled flight?

The Canadian airline Nolinor operates 737 combis to unpaved and ice runways. They have one aircraft outfitted with a large fuel bladder to deliver fuel to the local airfields there.

Nice, it just got FAA/EASA approval, who are the clients (apart from Pablo Escobar )?
I see many will upgrade old King Airs fleets (those worried about prop clearance in PC24)

It would be good to see one at TEXEL, Citations have been in there

I think other than the very few applications really needing to land on grass with a $12mn jet, it will be largely picked up by people stepping up from a PC-12. Beautifully engineered aircraft but relatively slow and heavy. Range is worse than a CJ3/4 or Phenom 300E. I am really not sure exactly what it’s mission profile is beyond the few specialist applications.

Again lovely engineering but I think it is filling a gap that doesn’t really exist.
