PA46 weather capability

A PA46 crashed near geneva today. I don’t want to discuss what happend but I was wondering about the machine in general. Not sure if it’s a TP or piston but I was wondering, how much weather can a PA46 handle ? I know there are some people with hands on experience on the type in the forum. It’s been pretty bad weather today in Geneva, lot of snow.

What’s the dispatch rate like and what makes you cancel a flight ?

It was a turbine. Parked right next to me in the hangar. Weather wasn’t that bad actually. A few snowflakes here and there – nowhere near “lots of snow”.

nowhere near “lots of snow”.

I stand corrected, it only started snowing in the late afternoon.

To me that looks like an acclerated stall near the ground … a terrible document.

Actually the troubles started higher up, immediately after departure radar pickup. Not clear what but couldn’t hold heading or altitude – was coming down at more than 2’000 fpm.

Loss of control in IMC? …

Was the airframe complete pre-impact? One cannot tell in the video (the tail could be missing as far as one tell) and a plane very rarely just goes straight down like that, totally out of control, especially in VMC. It’s not a spiral dive.

I can’t see the tail either, but to me it looks like a spin …
