HondaJet Gets FAA Type Cert

A new single-pilot jet twin…production of 5 aircraft per month to meet 4 year backlog.

CEO Fujino started the project in 1986. Then the company employed fewer than 50 people, a number that has grown to 1,700 employees today.

Range: 1,358 miles
Top speed: 420 ktas
Ceiling: FL430
Climb: 4k fpm
Seats: 1 pilot + 5 pass
Wingspan: 40′
Length: 43′
Unit cost: $4.5m USD
Engine type: GE Honda HF120

Plane & Pilot has the first test flight and review of the HondaJet. New editor Robert Goyer was very positive to it, although I just skimmed through article. But it seems he thinks it’s on par, or slightly better than the M2 and much better than the Phenom 100. The G3000 system looks great. Says they have 100 on order. I want one!
