[Almost] Everyone [considering a brand new Cirrus] is waiting for the Cirrus Jet ;-)
But if you group both the Turbo and the non-turbo SR22, the numbers are about double those of the 172.
It is very obvious looking at product delevelopment that Cessna has actually abandoned the SEP market (they just don’t admit so), whereas Cirrus is one of very few players actually “working” the market.
And those two airplanes are not really comparable either… They will appeal to very different customer profiles.
