Your problem however is probably one which most people fear more than the actual turbulence and rightly so.
…and that is…?
OK, I get it…

This week end, we held the first Extra 400 get together! A full 10% of the fleet flew in formation and I thought it would be nice to share the photos.
We met in the Czech Republic on Pribran airfield. A very nice place about 60 Km south of Prag, but and easy Uber ride if you do not have the privilege of being driven around in your friends car like me.
Four pilots and two planes. First time I see an Extra 400 racing at 3000 ft AGL on the horizon and homing in to join formation.
Both of us on board gasped “wow, this is seriously fast!”.
I’m probably not objective but it was one of the nicest flying moments in my life. Thank you guys!
That is excellent! Did you do any flight/performance comparison between the planes. Specifically wondering if new style prop blades displayed shorter takeoff and stronger climb performance? Were cruise speed settings and fuel burn any different in formation?
Thanks,
Frank
