Hi all,
Having planned to visit the retrofestival (http://www.retrofestival.fr/) in Caen this coming Sunday, I’ve just had a response to my Customs/PPR email request saying they cannot accept me as Caen will not accept any arrivals between 0700z – 1200z on Sunday’s.
Has anyone else come across this? Doesn’t appear to be documented anywhere and all I can see is the NOTAM for mandatory 24HR PPR. I guess that gives them the option to impose ad-hoc restrictions such as these.
Seems a bit bizarre to me. I thought it could be down to volume of Commercial arrivals but it seems that there are just as many after 1200z as there are prior.
Any ideas what could be going on?
LFMD is Cannes Mandelieu, not LFRK Caen Carpiquet.
Fixed, thanks. I am constantly putting in the ICAO codes so that searching for airports works properly
