Cessna 414 / FAA mentor pilot

I have a friend who just bought an N-reg Cessna 414 (to be based in Germany) and he is looking for experienced C414 pilots with an FAA license (preferably also CFI) to help with some mentoring during an initial few flights.

Are there any European-based pilots here who could help? Or any resources/other avenues through which we could ask around?

Many thanks.

Your friend should contact http://www.tlaviation.de. They are based in EDLN and have a FAA CFI. Ask for Dr. Arlt. I did my bianual checkflight with him in my Cardinal. Very pleasant man. Maybe he has a rating for C414, but I don‘t know.

My former examiner in Wichita did many check rides for insurance purposes (mainly) in Europe. He usually bundled them long time ahead so they could all share his travel expenses. Dave Tiday is the name.

Else, there is a C4series driver on the Pilotudnflugzeug.de – forum, very competent chap. He might know the right guy to ring up.

Probably too far for the chap I had in mind (he’s in Austria), but PM me if you don’t find anyone.

PM sent!

Thanks to all for your suggestions!
