ExCom is Executive Committee nowadays call C-suite or whatever…I seem to recall “ExCom” was exempted from the acronym ban … 
Basically the group of executive officers (as opposed to a board of directors who typically make strategic, non-executive decisions) , who make executive decisions for a company or corporation (CEO, CTO, COO, SVP’s…), sorry, it is just too embedded in my blood to avoid acronym use…
