I would like to fly to Morocco from Murcia. I wanted to know if I can fly directly from a Spanish airport to Morocco.
First, I have to go through customs in Tangier. What do they usually ask you to do and the procedure?
Does anyone have any idea how much the landing fees cost?
Then, in Casablanca, do they make a flight plan for you from Tangier?
If I want to leave the plane there, how much would it cost per night? Thank you very much.
You need to fly from a POE airport. In Murcia the only airport you can use is LEMI. Otherwise you can use another enroute airport in Spain like LEAM or LEGR. Bear in mind the only fuel type at LEMI is JET-A
Pulse note all of those require handling
There’s some info here Morrocan Dash
We flew to Tangier in November from Reus, which was unproblematic. We called them in advance and of course filed a FPL. Airport fees in Morocco are very reasonable, we paid about 25 euros for a C172RG for 24h with two crew and 1 pax. AVGAS available and can be paid in euros or dirhams.
If you go south of Agadir, authorisations are necessary that take quite some time to obtain (ie weeks in our case but this was in the frame of a scientific outreach project with involvement from different authorities), see the other threads in the forum.
All flights require FPLs in Morocco, make sure to follow the designated routes by adding all turning points in the route section of the FPL.
Something worth noting is that they often ask for all estimates for the above-mentioned turning points right after being airborne and sometimes when one is taxiing to the holding point before departure… just tell them to stand by until you are ready if the timing is inconvenient.

AIP says PPR for C&I both for LEMI and LELC. But maybe LELC is too complicated being military base although AIP states 100LL available.
LELC is pure military nowadays, with all civilian traffic, unfortunately, being diverted to LEMI.
There are obscure reasons why they have not changed the AIP (see below) , with al CIV applicable procedures remaining…I am not complaining, in the hopes one day it comes back to civilian use.
The obscure way that CIV traffic is not allowed in the AIP is by insertion of this remark at the end of sections 2 (geog and admin data) , 3 (operational hours), and 4 (handling services and facilities) :
ALL INFORMATION PUBLISHED IN THIS ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE TO CIVIL AIRCRAFT
I saw this remark and, while fully clear in Spanish, in English is somehow hard to understand. In English that I speak (I could be wrong and native speakers can correct me), proper translation of Spanish original should be: “NONE OF THE INFORMATION PUBLISHED IN THIS ITEM IS AVAILABLE FOR CIVIL AIRCRAFT”.
