I live in Spain but go back to UK for my ppl medical …
my prev AME was happy to accept my medical reports issued in Spain (. Blood tests and ecg report) but that AME retired so I went to another one.
Problem is she refuses to accept my Spanish medical report because it’s in Spanish even though it’s essentially ‘ numbers’ and even I can understand it …
She now asks for a full translated medical report notarized by a lawyer …
is this a CAA requirement or a ‘doctor’ decision …. legal translations cost another 500 pounds …
I don’t get the medical done in UK because I need a stress ecg plus all the blood tests costing another 400 but in Spain my insurance covers it ……
Any comments pls
Or considering the uncertainty around the UK remaining in EASA, you could transfer your medical and licence to Spain.
