Entertaining flight instructor training

For a change, a good video from Troy Kinsey.

For those who are not FIs, this is (sort of) how FI training works. Very tough on the trainee, especially if he is just only beginning (like it seems here). FI reval flights also often go like this, i.e. the FIE „playing“ a student pilot in his very first lesson….

Nice video, hard to formulate simple answer to his pop-up questions without getting into extra questions just lacking 3 voice sets for student/instructor/examiner !

The video looks like a spoof to me. Push the yoke to go faster… really?

And in stall “…the wind doesn’t go smoothly over the wing…”

I’m pretty sure my aircraft goes faster if I push the yoke!

Not quite how I remember it, albeit it was a long time ago. This is classic youtube stream of consciousness and far removed from CFI training – am guessing they are trying to channel Abbott and Costello.

Have you tried inverted
Altought honestly “aircraft goes faster” is better than “aircraft goes down” which is 50% wrong in both inverted & non-inverted flights

My comment was in the context of the video

I took it this way: The „student pilot“ is an experienced instructor preparing a new instructor.
