Top 20 airports / most visited airports / how many different airports have you landed at

I’ve now been through my logbook, and not counting three home bases the total is 87; average visits per airfield is 2.3. It’s difficult to know how to value them: is one touch and go on a neighbouring field equivalent to a weekend in Croatia?

Nothing beats weekend in Croatia we have continuous summer here since end of May, daily temps are in mid and high 20’s and the forecast says that autumn will start in some 10 days, after next weekend.

Can’t wait to try Croatia.
Made it to Lido this year and had planned Zadar but ran out of time because we enjoyed Venice and Lido too much.

We go to Istria quite often, but unfortunately only once by GA.

I’ve put all the airfields on a map too. What’s interesting is not where I’ve been, but the gaps that need filling in.

These are only the ones we‘ve landed with our Mooney. I have 60 or 70 more in other planes. But I‘m quite sure this isn’t the record on this forum. I think @boscomantico has about that many in France alone

In November 2016, I posted my total and top 20 flight destinations which flights were at that time all in Europe. I just went back into LogTen Pro to do a new count. I have by now visited 297 different airfields still excluding the ZZZZ locations, flew myself through 40 different countries: most still in Europe, flights through the African continent next, some in the Middle East and a few (3 flights only) in the US.

I did a re-count since the last time, 4 years ago. The result shows a significant tailoff in new destinations…

1547 landings, and here are the top ones (apart from EGKA, my base)

KCHD is from the FAA IR in 2006. You can guess LGKR is from pre-Fraport days… Quite a few others I haven’t been to in years e.g. EGLG is closed; last visit was 2003.
