What about fuel icing in a Meridian at -40C ?
…but have you inquired about surface winds?
-40 OAT is fine. The fuel temp limit is -41 but because of some aero heating and warm fuel being returned to the tanks it normally runs 8-9 warmer that the OAT. When it was -49 recently the fuel temp ran at -38.
Jan yes, 15kts on the ground should be fine.
Get a pic to prove your groundspeed.
Will do. Could be a record.
This was 2 weeks ago on the the return from Denmark to Germany riding my first jet stream. The funny part was that on the ground there was nearly no wind at all. In the climb we had to lower the nose because the windshear kept reducing our IAS. We climbed to FL240 as this was the highest ATC would let us and enjoyed the short ride.

Picture to come. 387kts.
Impressive.
With or with a headwind? lol
Jason, cool! Let us know some details of that flight. I was out at the airport today and the snow showers around Munich wered so strong, it was really hard to DRIVE (with a 4WD SUV) …
