Re VAT reclaim – you indeed have to reclaim it from each country, which is a major hassle for travel expenses even if you get the hotel to issue a VAT invoice in the correct name.
The rules were set up to be logical and fair. Unfortunately the scam artists in the Govt found a way to make it unworkable.
