The point 6.5 What is that all about ? Most pilots in the world do indeed fly outside the UK, and have never done anything but exactly that. If there is some truth in that, then the opposite also must be true: Special attention or training needs to be implemented for those planning to fly inside the UK.

Annex 1 is found mainly in Appendix C1: Annex 1 to EASA Basic Regulation – Aircraft not falling under the Regulation.

It doesn’t say a lot about them – basically just a definition.
