I agree. It seems like all risk, no reward. If they were 100 ft higher, would the audience have been less impressed?
I’ve seen pilots do really technically difficult and risky things low to the ground to impress the “audience” who said “Cool. I’m going to get another beer, anyone want one?” and went about their day. The pilot literally risked their life to do something and the audience forgot about it seconds later.
