Another interesting point from the Beechcraft numbers is that during the Hawker Beechcraft bankruptcy, someone decided that the future of the company was in the piston and turboprop lines – even with sales figures like these. The King Air is clearly the star performer, but I would have expected the piston line to suffer the same fate as the jet business.
This list doesn’t include the shift to homebuilts; with the Vans RV series, the Cub derivatives, presumably breaking into three figures annual production?
