The government has been running "Red Tape Challenges" since April 2011, and it has just launched a new General Aviation Red Tape Challenge. Grant Shapps, Minister without Portfolio, is calling on anyone with an interest in General Aviation to tell the government how it can reduce red tape.
Unlike other Red Tape Challenges, which have been about specific regulations, participants in this challenge will be able to make suggestions on any issues in the following broad areas:
•general aviation pilots
• general aviation airfields
•maintenance
•Civil Aviation Authority
•airspace management
•training and instruction
•historic aircraft
•innovation
