10 years back, there was a “MANIX” intersection near Biarritz.
Lot of crew claimed they were making
the XL Size approach, but none ever proved it !!!!!

I was killing time last week on a commercial flight to Venice via Frankfurt, looking at IFR points along the routes in SD, I found the following ones:
ABGAS (“exhaust gas” in german)
UMVEG (almost “detour” in german)
ROTAX
INBED
HAREM (there seems to be a theme here…)
