Looking for history Hello all. I'm hoping someone here can give me a link to a site I once found but have lost the bookmark. I've tried googling.....There was a lot of information about our cub.
our supercub G-BPUL is 60 years old this year. Serial 18 2517 regiistered as OO LUL when we bought her. Built as a 135 cropsprayer now with 150 wings and engine, was a glider tug in Belgium. I would like some more history of her early years, before 1974 so I can do a little booklet to give to people coming to the birthday party on september 7 and 8. May have been PH NEV, and I believe got new wings off an Italian cub around 1958. Anyone able to help? You can come to the party even if you can't help, it is at LFDW, Chauvigny, France. Ah. Thank you, Jan. The serial number is definitely 2517. Bit puzzling, isn't it?
Was van Beek an importer? His name seems to appear often.
Google is our friend: Mr. Van Beek managed a rather big operation of crop spraying and such. Activities started in 1948, I did not find when they airfield was closed. It seems the company was still active in 1964.

Wijlen K.A. van Beek behaalde in 1937 zijn brevet als sportvlieger. In 1948 begon hij met het sproeien van bestrijdingsmiddelen op landbouwprodukten vanuit de lucht.
