Hey guys. I’ve always dreamt of flying a gyrocopter around a Mediterranean island in summer. I want to realise that dream at some point, I can’t think of more peaceful and beautiful flying. I’m training to be a commercial pilot at the moment. I’ve got my PPL, ATPL theory, ME and IR out the way with my CPL to do in January. I was wondering how much of the gyrocopter PPL I would have to do before getting the license? I don’t really fancy doing the whole hog again, with all the exams and stuff. Anyone got any ideas?
Thank you :)
If I remember rightly you have to do 30 hrs, plus Airframe technical.
Contact my friend Andy Wall (CSO – Sales Director at AutoGyro) [email protected]. He’ll be able to tell you. I had a couple of flights in the Cavalon… http://www.auto-gyro.com/en/Cavalon/
now that was an amazing aircraft to fly.
He can also arrange a tour of the factory.
