I was aiming to land at LESB in April but was late (they close early) so I decided to go to LEPA. 500 EUR for landing, overnight parking and handling… a personal record I could have lived without. On the other hand LFMU (as a fuel stop) was a highlight with a landing fee of 8:40 EUR and a quick turn around.
Mallorca has two airports: one has customs and no avgas, and the other has avgas and no customs 
and is expensive enough to put most people off.
We did Menorca last October and that was good, but it took some organising to get the handling costs down.
Has anyone had any thoughts on Mallorca/LESB? Nice as well, although quite far from Sweden. Croatia is always beautiful and a good option :)

I landed in Lido 2 weeks ago with a PA24.
Airstrip is in very good condition. Grass was well cut and no holes.
It was on a Sunday and lot of private airplane (M20, C182, SR22, TB20 and PA34).
It was my first time there, highly scenic I would recommend

I don’t want to turn this thread to ad for Croatia and we’ve already had enough fly-ins there but there are few sandy beaches in Croatia and sea temperatures in the summer are well above 22 degrees (up to 25-26 at surface).

There is no airfield right by the lake. Also, the lake is huge, so one would usually choose the airfield based on where you want to go.
The best one would indeed be Verona-Boscomantico . It’s 15 minutes by car from Peschiera, Lazise and Bardolino. They have a long paved runway, they sell avgas and they would most probably arrange an exclusive parking area. Restaurant (for initial refreshments ) on site. IFR flyers can do the ILS at Villafranca and then do the final 5 miles to LIPN.
Beaches are as rocky as in Croatia though

Which is precisely why a fly in there is e necessity. In terms of beaches (!) any of these islands beat the rocky Croatian cost hands down ;-)
Granted, the water often gets not quite as warm early summer. But then again, I have been freezing during some diving week in summer on Krk, too.
Weather is a key factor. I would assume that the Med gives a higher chance of a mild and agreeable weather in September…
