Anyone offering FI(A) course via distance learning?

Does anyone here know of a flight school that offers the theoretical part of the FI course as distance learning?

ESSZ, Sweden

Having taught FI courses for a number of years, there is absolutely no way that any of the course could be covered by distance learning. Much of the private study is based upon preparation of material following briefings by the course instructor, in preparatrion to give them back. If you did find such a course, I doubt that anyone would want to employ you afterwards. In much the same way, the course is not suited to being conducted in a simulator.

Does an online theory course for the FAA FI exist?

LO__, Austria

Shop around its certainly possible to do the whole FI course in a week in certain parts of Europe

@ncyankee will know about the FAA CFI/CFII study options.

In general there is no mandatory classroom time for FAA licenses.

You need a CPL for the FAA CFI course, though.

EGTF, LFTF

There are probably others. https://www.kingschools.com/ground-school/CFI

It isn’t in any part of Europe. You’d have to fit

  • pre-course assessment
  • 25h of teaching and learning
  • 100h of theoretical knowledge instruction incl. progress tests
  • 30h of flight instruction
    (FCL.930.FI)

LSC Arnsberg always have compact courses, though (2 weeks theory and after that individual schedule for flight training).
