What is the most cost-effective way to set up an EASA approved BITD/FNPT for PPL training purposes?
As far as I know, a BITD can be certified without hardware instruments – only with software based on (touch?) screens.
Basically, this shouldn’t be too expensive – does anyone know a provider and prices? I assume MSFS or FlightGear are certainly not possible…
Not sure it helps, but here in the US X-Plane can be certified BUT requires certified hardware also. One member of our club has that setup (he’s a CFI) and AFAIK total cost was IRO USD 8k.
FWIW for training for BIR no certified trainer is required and actually MSFS gear can be used.

Indeed, yes!
