Subject: Mobile FliteDeck VFR

Password Prompt in Mobile FliteDeck VFR

Issue: Jeppesen has learned that Mobile FliteDeck VFR (2.4.0) may delete coverages when started up with a weak internet connection. This results in a password prompt even during an active subscription, starting a new download of the coverages. Profile data and stored routes are not affected.

Mitigation: to prevent this issue from occurring in-flight Jeppesen strongly recommends operating the app in “Airplane Mode” which will prevent the password prompt from displaying in the app.

Resolution: Jeppesen is working on a patch release for Mobile FliteDeck VFR that will resolve this issue entirely. In the interim please follow the mitigation guidance above.
