It’s here but it’s talking about reliability of “dual GI275 installs”? not replacing TC with G5 or GI275?

I used that firm in 2017 to overhaul a KI256. Took some months to get it back, and without paperwork because they had the “usual arrangement” to use somebody else to print off the forms and that somebody stopped doing it…

We used them [https://aircraftinstrumentsltd.co.uk] in the autumn of 2020 to repair/overhaul an HSI and an AI with A/P output. I agree with Whiskey_Bravo, they gave good service. It was reasonably quick, although not instantaneous, and we got Form 1’s without any problems. Also, the price was quite fair.

In the absence of a used one, I was forced to repair my TC. It was successful.
Two new bearings and no noise.
Material 20 euros and 5 hours of work.

Do you have the P/N and source for the bearings? Somebody might find that useful.

I reckon a KI256 may also be repairable – there was a thread on the bearings here. I have to repair one anyway; it has a flight director which is showing about 2x the pitch it should be.

That’s incredible

Did you measure up the existing bearings, and find exactl dimensional equivalents?

One could of course also machine up some sleeves to match up diameters…

Dimension: d= 5x h=13x w=4 mm .
I measured it, got it delivered and it fit.
