Shipping an engine for an overhaul/repair

Job progressing…

Taking longer than expected but it is not being worked on full-time. I don’t mind because I was ill for a long time with some crap acquired on Easyjet But also we are doing the mother of all Annuals, as noted on other threads. 100% landing gear lube, etc. It’s also an opportunity to get everything perfect e.g. replacing the sleeving on this sensor.

The Skytec starter (149NL/EC) is here @denopa

The /EC version is the slow running one. They had reliability issues with the non-EC version (fast running) with the stator slipping round and breaking the connections inside… mine was OK though and eventually failed to engage at the front.

Ground run done and ready to fly back home on the first near-CAVOK day. Not the smallest oil leak anywhere, which is really unusual. The first flight will be 2hrs, with a specific programme of power settings.
