I’ve got a GNS 530 without W. I’m missing the terrain database version in this unit like in my Garmin 795.
There are ebay offers with a card ( right side slot of GNS) to buy this one. It is so easy to get a card and put it in and now I have TERRAIN on my GNS?

Generally, no. The terrain option on non-W units is a factory hardware upgrade (about $500). While theoretically you may already have a terrain-enabled unit, it is quite unlikely if you have no terrain card to go with it.
There is indeed also a hardware modification needed , in the past this could be done by a service center (repaishop) (I am not sure if the parts are stil aviable) it is/was a easy modification (changing the map-board and installing the terrain DB , sometimes the main softw needs to be updated (must be 6.01 or higher) , a release to service test and of course a pilotsguide addmendum) .
