A couple of years ago I was walking up and down the flight line at a fly-in just before dusk and came across this plane. My family had an association with Supermarine so I ws interested to have a look. I walked around it several times before I noticed the tail surfaces were very smooth for a Spitfire… they are fiberglass covered. It is a very convincing replica! I also saw it fly in formation with an FW-190 replica of similar quality and it was great.
