Need help: French built glider - exported to US under EXPERIMENTAL, now needs to come back to EASAland

1 Post

So I have a client & friend from California that bought a FAA registered Centrair Pegase competition glider. Unfortunately , this model was not on the FAA TCDS since it was built in small numbers and none were originally exported to the US. Consequently, it was certified under EXP .

Now the glider is in France and has been flying here under FAA cert., but the owner wants to put it back to EASA (French) reg.

There is a Certificate de Type (Type Certificate) for this model so no need for EXP.

The question is: Can a “normally” certified aircraft that was then registered on FAA EXP come back to normal reg in EASA ?

If so, what is the procedure ?
