How is that different from DA40NG? Same speed.
Is there de-ice, chute and/or pressurisation?
Or is it much cheaper?

Lower TAS with stronger engine and more fuel burn… not exactly an achievement

Is the TAS lower though? The Tecnam does 135 @ 75% MCP. The NG does 125 @ 60% and 150 @ MCP so same ballpark.

Horsepower is the same give or take 2HP.

I’m sure it’s due to more drag on the tecnam (wing struts?).

You’re right; I thought about DA40TDI with CD-155. It has similar performance as NG with less HP and FF.
