PA32 N841AD dead stick on highway

From here

Oops, another one! Great that nobody got injured.

Great indeed, not many places to go around Corona and it seems they had just returned from Catalina. Lucky they didn’t get wet. Also several very short hops earlier in the day.

Somebody is anyway going to get a 300 HP angle valve IO-540 Lycoming core.

Is that an Aquila 210? The video is not viewable outside the US.

Silvaire’s link says PA32.

Another mod job done, moving posts to a new thread. Why not start a new thread for a new topic??

Because it’s the same topic – landing on roads.

That can be better found with a search.

However, with the new “crash talk” section, the idea is to have specific events with own threads. The techniques for, and general discussion of, on landing on roads can go into a general thread.

It’s debatable but once you have a thread for a specific event then a new specific-aircraft event should go into a new thread.

Don’t want to be a Sherlock Holmes here, but what could the story behind these two, yet to be painted, marks on the top cowling, roughly at the location of the front two cylinders be?

Private field, Mallorca, Spain

Remnants from a previous uncontained engine failure? :)

blisters been added when the upgrade from 4 to 6 cylinders was done. Would have to be done again when going for 8 cylinders, alas…
