Pictures from Norway

Stop posting these terrible things!

The only approved photos are from airports in Greece that open for 45min per day, don’t have AVGAS and no customs and are located on an island where Easyjet lands 10x day. The only approved food is a grilled fish with 2 potatoes.

And the prospect of descending soon on a 4.5 degree ILS focuses the mind.

But then, of course, the place is virtually uninhabited – just two or three huts – no wait Tromso actually has a Univesity…

A personal minimum with no cloud below 2,000ft above the mountain tops would be limiting, but life-prolonging, I guess.

On the way to Britain, approaching Wick, the weather is instantly MUCH better than in Norway… and everything much less desolate… no, wait…

Nice. Feedback any good feedback from tromso? Planning to go there this feb. On way up will stop by Trondheim (to visit a restaurant across the border with Sweden), but haven’t decided on a stop for the way down.

Definitely take some time to walk around the place. Some really beauiful houses

Will be quite dark in Feb, though, early Feb you have only five hours of daylight, and that is quite gloomy by our standards.

They have a unusual, modern cathedral (“Arctic Cathedral”) which is a bit out of the way, but worth the short hop to the other side of the harbour if you like that sort of thing

As far as the airport is concerned – when I was there in 2015, the AVGAS fuel pump was at the opposite end from the GA parking, so make sure you plan for that time. Other than that, the usual hassle-free experience in Norway.
