Yes, that is possible. I would probably use Granada.
I haven’t done the Canaries (or Morocco) in the TB20 because it is a lot of hours with nothing to see, and it is so easy and cheap by airline. But it would be a great trip for someone who hasn’t been down to Spain for example.
