Trip to Greece, Eastern 2019

Anyway, sending a card copy in advance via email is not a big hassle.

That‘s exactly what we did. We did send copies of our AOPA crew cards in advance per mail and the handler was by the way informed about crew only, no passengers.

Hehe, you are telling all the tricks… :-)

Seriously, this didn’t use to work so well, back in the days when you had to physcially go to the “CAA office” to pay the landing and pax fees (and some of the CAA guys were very keen on that). But now that all is usually paid through the handler, it works much better, since the handling guys don’t seem to care how much the CAA earns in terms of pax fees….

Yes but at a HANDLER’s extra cost of 12% “disbursement fee”.
Nothing comes for free in this flying life !
Well practically if you want to save that 12% you can insist in going to the CAA, FRAPORT, whatever, office and paying it yourself, but if you weigh it against the potential misery it will give you after such a nice flight … its worth the extra cost. Thats the verdict from most pilots !

Yes. On my last visit to Skiathos in May last year, the payment process was very quick and smooth. Lightyears ahead of the “old” procedure. Well, it was also lightyears more expensive…, but still, not a bad experience overall.

Its the same everywhere … with a pricetag.
