Above improvements now implemented. A Database search like e.g.
https://airports.euroga.org/search.php?icao=LFD*&country=&type=database&date_from=&date_to=&all_air=
lists airports, with and without reports, shows which one has a report (“R” icon) and if you click on one of the ICAO codes you get the options
The great thing about this project is that every search has a URL, and the Back button actually works A lot of fashionable libraries (“frameworks”) break a lot of this stuff.
So e.g. this
https://airports.euroga.org/aip.php?ad=LFDI
gets you the VAC for LFDI.
Still something not always quite right, @Peter. LFAC works fine (returns 2 options, first goes to text section, second goes to VAC). LFAT search and then AIP selection returns 2 options for selection. 2nd option returns the VAC fine, but the first option just goes to the EAD login page rather than the text pages.
but the first option just goes to the EAD login page rather than the text pages.
Someone reported that yesterday but neither myself nor the dev can understand how this can be
And if you do it again, it doesn’t happen again i.e. you are not asked to log in again. Can you confirm this @chflyer?
Ideally it wants to be tested by someone who has never created an EAD login.
Hi peter, I am not very familiar with the forum (first time),neither with EAD ( what is it ), so i am a goodwilling volonteer .. if patience is one of your attributes !
Thank you @somolli and welcome to EuroGA. Just click on this URL and see if you can load both of the PDFs shown
https://airports.euroga.org/aip.php?ad=LFAT
EAD is a repository for airport data (and other stuff) for much of Europe. But don’t go to the site until you have done the above
Bienvenue somolli
@Peter, I can confirm that the first item takes you to the login page of EAD. The second one gives you direct the plate (PDF). When copying the link of the first item and paste it in a browser, I briefly saw that I was redirected from there to the login page of EAD. Could it be that the link is incorrect?
Hmmm, interesting.
Does it happen consistently on that particular URL?
Does it happen with other airport codes?
Yes, it does happen consistently on that particular URL. I haven’t tried other airport codes that much, to encounter the same problem.
What browser are you using?
I reproduced it once on Firefox but subsequent clicks on the 1st of the two URLs delivers the PDF fine, and this is on a browser installation which never went to EAD before.
