Can anyone share a list of airfields in where one can A – hire car after landing? or B – have hotel accomodation near airport? say 1000m walk max
I had few nightmares with taxis, I think I need to get car or hotel to settle down first before going to visit anything else
For B, I have: Saumur, Southend, Annecy, Troyes, Chartres, StHubert, Tours
For A, I have: Deauville, Lille, Tours, Bergerac, Oxford
Any other obvious choices?
Both A + B in no particular order: Nantes, Salzburg, Linz (not 100% sure about B here), Cascais, Milan Bresso
A; La Rochelle, Poitiers
B Sywell, Cannes
Inverness EGPE has a recently built hotel near the terminal and the airside exit, well within your required distance of the handling agents. There are car hire companies also.

Last time I visited, Bonn-Hangelar EDKB had an old Mercedes-Benz available to pilots for free. Hotel Hangelar is 800 m away.
Liège EBLG has a Park Inn right outside the terminal, but it’s overpriced for the quality of service they provide.
LFMT Montpellier has a hotel at the airport which is perfectly reasonable. Not sure about car hire.
B) Lyon Bron, Avignon, Troyes, Colmar
