I know, a long time to go.. Reason for putting it on the table now already is that it may be a bit more complex to decide where to go.
The criteria are as follows I guess, although they are conflicting in some cases. Am I missing anything?
1. Nice location (city, nature, beach).
2. Easy access to hotels/restaurants, preferably walking distance.
3. GA-friendly place, ability to mingle on the field.
4. Options for the die-hards to do some interesting flying ‘on the saturday’.
5. Instrument Appch, C&I and fuel on the field or on an airport nearby.
6. Reasonable distance from home base.
I’m struggling to find NEW places that tick many boxes. Maybe LEMU Mutxamiel near Alicante comes closest. Although poor @Dublinpilot would then struggle to repeat his Lindbergh one day achievement..
So the question arises, mainly directed to the usual suspects, whether you’d have a problem with going again to a place we’ve already been to and, if OK, which place you would prefer.
Personally I don’t mind repeating at all, and criterium 2, 3 and 4 are the most important of them, but YMMV.
What we have learned is that hotel and restaurant availability has never been an issue at the end of September. So that means that there is no need to make reservations way in advance, actually one could even wing it completely.. For instance: Primary destination LECD La Cerdanya or LESU Andorra but if wx turns foul change to LEAP Ampuriabrava or LECN Castellon. We have been very fortunate regarding the weather on our LECD and LESU events, but good mountain wx is not a given while the coast is usually better.

Well I’ve only been to two of those. One on my own steam and one kindly as a passenger with Peter.
I’ll happily go to any of them. New is always nice but a repeat isn’t a problem.
For me more important is the date. The 23 Sep is a hard deadline in work and things get very busy in the run up to it and the week or two after is much easier.
All those locations are great for me @Aart. Weather and MX permitting, I’m in.
As every year, I’m in, of course work permitting. If I’m on roster, maybe I can persuade my passengers to join 
Sure, would make a stop. It’s about getting airborne, not the engine failure scenarios, so the first one. I’d be happy with 1000m. Below it gets sketchy.
Here’s a devious plan.. Let’s see whether we can find a suitable field for you @loco. But – in return – how about taking us up ‘on the saturday’ in your impressive Piaggio!
