Champagne Run

Check out this new blogpost answering important questions like “Shall we drive down to buy Champagne, or is flying there deemed an acceptable form of decadence?” and giving thorough advise like “Fellow pilots: if you ever need a good excuse for a trip: contact Dhondt-Grellet, fly to Epernay and ask them to pick you up for wine-tasting: these guys deserve our business !”

Broad grin!

Epernay aerodrome has long been on my curiosity list, it is about as far as I will fly non-stop from my EBZH homebase, making it a perfect first stage for excursions into the heart of La Douce France.

I promise I will not fly there without giving word both to you and to the viticulteur mentioned.

Thanks very much for sharing. As for the decadence: all of us are hopelessly politically incorrect anyway, why should we bother more?

My first post-ppl flight was in Epernay. As nice a grass runway as I’ve yet seen.
