I thought low altitude IFR never got shortcuts?

Connectivity was bad on this flight. Almost no 4G over France. I would say it worked 1% of the time. Ok with the Telegram app or Whatsapp.
Wx was exactly as expected. Zero turbulence and imc for first hour.
Yes that shortcut was extremely unusual. It was right across most of France.
On my experience, over France (iPhone 4-5 / Orange), DATA (3g/LTE) has always been very limited above a few thousands feets.
Edge is useless with Orange, whether in the air or on the ground.
