I could be ok for Tuesday.

Norman
United Kingdom

I am flying down to Pau LFBP this week, Wed-Fri (2 nights).

EDIT: if anyone wants to fly there, check notams. The airport is basically closed to GA, due to some big plane movements. Only the aeroclub is operating.

Pau is a very nice town. Ticks many boxes for a fly in.
I’ve never been there with GA tough.

I may get to Tarbes Lourdes LFBT later in August. Will post updates.

LFOU, France

It definitely ticks the boxes for a fly-in.

I have done Tarbes a few times and would think it is broadly similar to Pau.

The airport is fine. There was a slight mixup in that ATC thought there was an avgas bowser but you have to taxi to the aeroclub to the fixed pump. Amazingly, AIR BP now present English menus when they see a UK card I got help anyway but possibly might have managed to work it myself. Everything was very easy, including the police! No idea why it is 24hrs PNR because the police are obviously there 24/7.

I will do a writeup when I get some time.

It was great to meet up with some EuroGA people, too, who flew in from elsewhere in France

I am planning Tarbes LFBT for the weekend.
I will probably make a stop in Libourne LFDI tomorrow on the way south, for lunch or later.
@jojo are you there ?

LFOU, France

Hello @Jujupilote It would have been with great pleasure, but I am currently dipping in the blue waters of Corsica!

Could meet up for a beer (have tickets for the Red Bull Party tonight, too.
sorry for not posting earlier, but until noon today my plane had no valid ARC…
