The instrument approach is not charged if you do a full-stop. The difference between single and twin isn’t huge. The grass parking is usually just fine. But yes, Cambridge isn’t dead cheap.
Cambridge isn’t dead cheap.
Weekend at Cambridge is still cheaper than fuel stop at Greek airports
So I’m looking at 42+3x18=£96.
Cambridge EGSC looks like a doable airport with one stop from Sweden. I will join if I find an A/C with 8.33.
Is a tax refund for fuel possible at EGSC when leaving UK?

UK is still EU, so I guess not.
If my memory serves well, Cambridge does NOT charge VAT on fuel if you declare that you will fly out of the UK (even though it does not make sense, but I wouldn’t question it…)
Plus, of course, you can claim duty via the drawback procedure.
So in the end, it is some very cheap fuel.
I owe friends in Cambridge a long overdue visit, so I will consider this one.

I would hope a good number of UK pilots will come to Cambridge. We have a vast UK readership but relatively little UK participation
I would certainly try and make it given that I am UK based. My 90hp Luscombe should be able to make it that “far” in less than 2 hours vs the multi day trip most continental destinations would require.
It is worth registering for free at http://flyingcambridge.com as it should give a reduced landing fee (I think from the first visit).
I’ll be there as long as I can get time off/have sufficient funds available
