You have some images missing ;-)

Proof of concept It was quite complicated. Uses PHP and some other stuff, wkhtmltopdf etc. Well beyond me… running on a private site.

Shamelessly plugging myself here. If anyone else wants similar scripts let me know.

The images missing will be fixed soon. Right now it runs on a raspberry pi.

Ok, I have moved it to another server now so I feel a little more confident sharing it:

http://plane2pdf.cryo.dev/

It only works with planecheck for now but I intend adding more sites in the future.

Let me know if you find any bugs.

Nice work @dimme

How about exec wget URL on the server side and then adding an (archive) link next to the link a person posted? Obviously exec with user input would need some extra care, but I think overall it should work nicely. Some quota for download size would be required too I guess.

Planecheck will deliver a blank page if you do a wget in the iframe containing the ad.

This has been really good – thank you

I don’t know if it’s just me, but the last couple I tried on planecheck produced a blank pdf (tried both firefox and chrome)

@Capitaine thanks for the heads up, it has been fixed.

There has been an update to http://plane2pdf.cryo.dev/

It now includes full size images instead of thumbnails in the document.

That means some images might jump to the next page, but I think that’s a good enough price to pay for having full size images available in the future.
