Can I suggest that you tweak your links so that anyone clicking on a link in a post is given a fresh webpage?
Otherwise you lose the forum as you follow the link, which can lead to other websites etc.
Anyone new to the forum, having found it by Google (for instance) might not able to find it again.

The trouble is that some people hate exactly that. It's easy to achieve this effect yourself by using Shift Click (certainly in the better modern browsers) to open a link in a new window. I do realise that's a pain though because you have to remember to do it. We might experiment with it and see if users here prefer it or not on balance.
