Parentheses at the end of a link text

the best foo

Haha you found a funny one allright

Put any character (except a space; that breaks live links if at the start or end of the text) after the closing bracket e.g.

the best foo (not really).

In the above I used a dot.

It seems the linking mechanism “eats” any text between parentheses at the end of the link text.

"the best foo (not really)":http://example.com/
the best foo
should give:
<a href=“http://example.com/”>the best foo (not really)</a>
the best foo (not really)
but gives
<a href=“http://example.com/”>the best foo</a>
the best foo
