The server is running close to 100% load these days
and I am seeing some heavy bot activity. It isn’t google or any of those we do want to get access. The server is behind the Cloudflare caching / anti-DOS service and I am testing some features they have for blocking bots. These might affect some genuine users. I don’t think they will but one never knows…
The next server package up from ours is 2x more ($80/m+VAT) so I would prefer to avoid that.
This CPU usage level is 2x up from a year ago so something is going on…
The EuroGA Airports site is seeing plenty of bot activity, harvesting data, from some “interesting” places, but it is very small on the CPU usage scale.
I’ve had it twice the 19th, both times worked on refresh. The error code from today was 7d46ad6b2 if that helps…
Interesting. That is an internal error code, not one from the Cloudflare anti bot process.
The Cloudflare bot blocking seems to have done nothing for the traffic levels so I have disabled it.
