ChatGPT discussion, and "AI", and a repository for ChatGPT posts

I use FB to stay in touch with old friends and to exchange non-PC jokes smiley Oh and promote EuroGA.

And this stuff gets served up all the time… I do realise commenting is worthless. I just wondered “why”. How is Firdous getting paid? Is it even a person? If not a person then, yeah, this is FB generating own content. I think for a person doing all that, it is a lot of work.

Sadly it is not 30 years… more like 55 smiley

I explained above. He isn’t getting paid by Facebook, but by cultivating a profile with lots of engagement which he can then monetise – either by posting affiliate links, selling related products (books, courses, downloads, whatever) or just sell the account “20K followers with high engagement”.

While we are in “AI” mode, I asked Claude:

Q:
How much would a facebook account “20K followers with high engagement” be worth?

Asked Gemini the same question. Don’t remember exactly what it answered, something not too far off. But it turned towards YouTube very fast. Gemini could tell me that building aircraft and talking about GA and engineering stuff is one of the most lucrative things you can do on YouTube, except “expert talk” about finance and crypto, which is even higher. The reason is the audience has lots of money to spend and the gadgets needed (tools, aircraft parts ) are high valued items. Even with only a couple of thousand subscribers, I would easily finance a full Garmin glass for instance.

Hmm smiley But these AIs tells you exactly what you want to hear. Which I guess is why the CEOs seems to flock around them much more than everybody else. Still, YouTube? why the heck not?

Did it mean that an avionics YT channel with 2k subs could be sold for 5 digits?

I would expect that a better strategy would be product promotion, which is what a fairly well known ex BBC producer, now called Flying Reporter, is doing.

However that is not “AI” – that is just this.

Indeed you are probably right that CEOs have massive egos which need heavy massaging and “AI” is very good at that. The sycophant level is often embarrassing…

376 likes from complete cretins. Well, this is the modern world smiley It’s probably a challenge if you have small kids and want to insulate them from this huge fake universe.

I know. Gemini suggested looking at YouTube instead smiley The main difference was that FB has a time span of only a couple of days while YouTube is “forever”. The “content” on FB doesn’t really matter. It’s all about creating a base of followers, activity, that eventually is/can be channeled to an online shop or whatever. That Firdous guy is probably making money, or it’s just part of a larger marketing strategy.

Seems like EuroGA is the primary food for AIs.

Did a “AI mode” search about the paraglider accident, and this is what it came up with smiley

Yes – this has happened strongly since I changed the firewall rules to let Claude in. Nowadays, Claude is at least as important as google so you have to do that.

It is a bit more server load but monitoring suggests it is not causing trouble.

I’m particularly impressed with how power is connected to the circuit!

Q to Claude:

There is a load of stuff in the press about Mythos existing in a special “non public available” version for finding vulnerabilities in code. Can Claude do this?I am sure it will find a ton of them in MbedTLS (Mythos has reportedly already found serious ones in WolfTLS) but one can’t just keep re-hashing one’s product with the latest version, with all the regression testing needed afterwards…It would be interesting to check LWIP
